The Cutting Edge Big Band Orchestra Playing Live at Tap Social 02/12/2025. Swing Dance Summertown and The Cutting Edge Big Band are teaming together again for another great night out on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. This is starting to become a bit of an annual event for the two of us and we hope that you will join us for the first of our Special Christmas Events.
We did the same thing last year and it was a huge success! If you are free it would be great to have the Summertown Dancers with us. Tuesday might be a school night but it is also officially the start of The Party Season.
The evening will begin with a Taster Swing Dance Class with Chris & Lucy. it will be aimed at all levels and also a lot of fun.
After the class, The Cutting Edge Big Band will take to the stage for an evening of Big Band Swing and dancing. Join us to kick off your Festive Season with a cheeky Tuesday night of thrilling big band jazz and craft beer!

Just to be clear, you’ll need to buy tickets for the dance class AND the band if you want to do both.
Please note there will be filming and photography through the evening. Last year there was also some trouble with parking. We urge everyone to be vigilant and check all signs when parking up nearby.
Kick off your festive season with a cheeky Tuesday night of thrilling big band jazz and craft beer! Tickets from £12. There will also be the opportunity to order dinner from the wonderful Atisan Pizzas from the kitchen. Jazz, Dancing & Pizza, that’s a great night out for anyone.
Add on a dance class with Chris & Lucy for a taster class just before the band take the stage for an evening of music & dancing.
