The Big Band Double Header October 2022 is this week

Every month, our friends The Velvet Tones present the Big Band Double Header. This is a free entry gig with donations requested and expected for a nominated charity of the night. The suggested donation is £5. Don’t forget to hold something back for the famous £1, 1 prize raffle which features the finest bottle of sparkling wine that the local supermarket’s bargain rack has to offer.

This month there is a real treat for you as the 41 Degrees are The Velvet Tones guests.

41 Degrees at the Big Band Double Header

41 Degrees Big Band are an exciting 18-piece Big Band, form the North Wiltshire area. Their set covers everything from the classic big band era and the last time they played it really was a treat for dancers. This is one you will not want to miss. It is also a great opportunity for dancers who haven’t taken their first steps on the social floor, as the crowd is always very supportive and encouraging no matter what level of dancer you are. Come and join us for a great evening of dancing with some absolutely awesome music.

The nominated charity is the Oxford Prostate Cancer Support Group.

Start time

The music starts at 8:00pm and goes on until late. The first set will feature The Velvet Tones with Richard and Claire as vocalists. 41 Degrees will follow around 9:30pm after the break. There is a dance floor throughout the evening, as well as a bar. Come along and experience dancing to the Big Band sound.
