Every month, our friends The Velvet Tones present the Big Band Double Header. The Big Band Double Header September 2022 is a free entry gig as usual, with donations requested and expected for a nominated charity of the night.

The Big Band Double Header is back after its Summer Break and this month there is a real treat for you as the Big Band Swing Orchestra are The Velvet Tones special guests. The Velvet Tones return as hosts to Oxford Golf Club for a fabulous evening of music and dance! Bring your friends, bring your family, and come and enjoy the best that Oxford has to offer!

The nominated charity charity is the wonderful Rosie’s Rainbow Fund, a children’s charity who support sick and disabled children in hospital, school and in the community. You can read all about on their website https://www.rosiesrainbowfund.co.uk/.

Please bring a bit of spare cash (they don’t have facilities for cards) and give them your support!. Swing Dance Summertown are proud to support this regular monthly gig and our dancers are one of the reasons why people come along with the great musicians and singers all performing their hearts out.

The music starts at 8:00pm and goes on until late. The first set will feature The Velvet Tones with Richard and Claire as vocalists. The Big Band Swing Orchestra will follow around 9:30pm after the break. There is a dance floor throughout the evening, as well as a bar. Come and join us for a great evening of Swing music and dancing.
