The Benoit Viellefon Hot Club play the music of the 1920s to 1940’s with panache. They are regulars at vintage music festivals. Last year they were a headline act at The Twinwood Festival. They always bring that ‘main stage’ performance to their gigs. That is why they are a favourite with dancers, and why you shouldn’t miss this gig.
We have joined forces with our friends at The Oxford Lindy Hoppers for a joint promotion to present a great evening of entertainment in a unique venue. Tickets are £10 from the Dance Cloud Event portal, and will sell out. Therefore you should make sure you reserve your ticket as soon as possible.
The evening will begin with a short taster lesson at 7:30pm. This makes it perfect to bring your non dancing friends along who might want to try Swing Dance out for the first time. There is a bar and plenty of seating so when the real swing starts to play they won’t feel left out. After the class the music and dancing will play until Midnight. Food will be available until 9pm. You can order in advance from the pub.
About The Isis Farmhouse
The Isis is unique to Oxford. It sits on an island in a rural area of beauty, but is also a short walk from the city. it can be reached from the riverside towpath for walkers and cyclists. It can also be reached across the Iffley Lock bridge which provides parking for those who need it. For those who liek to make an entrance it is also possible to moor your boat outside the venue and approach it along the river.
We have exclusive use of the all year round marquee which provides a huge space to dance. The Isis kitchen and bar is also available so nobody will go hungry or thirsty. As the evenings get a bit warmer it provides a really quite magical space for dancers and one which we hope you are going to love.

About the Benoit Viellefon Hot Club
Benoit Viellefon is a familiar face on the Swing Dance circuit having performed internationally for many years. He is known as being the last “old fashion” style of band leader with his orchestra. As a result he keeps the craft of the Big Band sound alive throughout Europe. His orchestra features an all star cast of the UK’s finest swing musicians. They are regulars at Ronnie Scott’s in London, and we are very lucky to have them play in Oxford at this very special night.
