The Get The Vintage Look Halloween Workshop is the next of our series. They explore how dancers can achieve a vintage look when out at social dances.
We invite you to join Lucy in the Library once again on Saturday 5th October. This is another of our special workshops to help you develop vintage look for a trip to Goodwood Revival, Twinwood or any of the other great vintage events.
The party season is fast approaching. This time we are going to focus on seasonal celebrations such as Halloween and how to Get The Vintage Look as part of your outfits and costumes.
Where is the Get The Vintage Look workshop?
Come along to Cherwell School South Site, Marston Ferry Road, Oxford, OX2 6UX. We have hired the Library again with a presentation screen. Lucy has even more visual aids to help highlight key points. It is the same venue where we teach on a Wednesday so just park up in the car park and head inside. There is also a secure place to leave your bicycle which is under cover.
The workshop will run from 2:30pm until 4:30pm with a break for refreshments in the middle.
The Workshop is being offered for £3 to Swing Dance Summertown Members and £5 to Non-Members. This is so we can cover the cost of hiring the room, and hopefully won’t make it too expensive for anyone.

Evening performance at the Summertown Wine Bar
The afternoon is going to be a lot of fun but in the evening there is live music playing and room to dance at The Summertown Wine Bar. Kim Osmond and her band will be playing a Jazz set in the evening. Most of you know Kim from our classes but she also is the main vocalist with The Cutting Edge Big Band and has her own band which regularly plays in Oxford. The last time we all went along to The Summertown Wine Bar it was a great night out with plenty of room to dance and quite a few people thought we were part of the entertainment.
