Every month the various Swing Dance Classes and groups come together for one big Social Dance. Hop The Hall is run by the Oxford Lindy Hoppers at:

St Margarets Hall, 30 Polstead Road, Oxford, OX2 6TN.

our monthly social dance which is held on the first Friday of every month. Hop the Hall is an opportunity for Lindy Hoppers to get together in Oxford to dance and chat. If you’re new to social dancing, this is the perfect place to get out on the floor in a relaxed atmosphere or listen to some great tunes played by our local DJs and occasional live bands. It’s fun and informal.

Currently dancers are asked to bring your own water bottle. Taps are provided to fill them.

In light of the current situation, Hop The Hall is currently operating a cashless pre booking system run through dance cloud although you can also pay cashless on the door. There is currently a No-Cash request for payments on the door. Tickets cost £5.

Until the situation improves dancers are asked to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test result as a condition of entry.

The test should be 24 hours or more recent and ideally on the day before heading out. Proof is defined as either and NHS email result (sent as part of the NHS app, the recorded result on another App such as the ZOE app, or a dated photograph of the strip. You can bring the strip itself as proof however we ask that you bring it in a sealed clear plastic baggy.
