Saturday Swing Time Spring Gala is run by Simon Selmon and the rest of our friends at Swing Dance UK. It is a quarterly event and the next is running on 18th March 2023. A few of us went along to the Christmas Gala event and it was great fun. It is a full day of dancing split into a series of different activities and prices which means you can be as involved as you want to be or just attend part of it without making a commitment to the whole thing. Tickets are selling fast so if you have been thinking of making your way to Beaconsfield, you might want to reserve your tickets now.

Saturday Swing Time Spring is a full day of dancing with a daytime Balboa workshop running from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Then there is a break for dinner where you can order pizza or take a picnic. From 7:45 until 11:00pm that is when the Lindy Hop part of the evening starts with a Beginner’s class at 8:00pm and then social dancing from 8:30pm. The music goes on until late.

Tea coffee and squash is provided but they do appreciate it if you take your own cup to save on washing up and generally make things easier.

The full day with Balboa and Lindy Hop is £24 or you can choose to do the afternoon or evening for £12 each. The link above has all the ticket options. There is also lots of free car parking at the event which is only a short drive away from Oxford.
