Summertime Swing Social and Practice Sessions

8:00pm til 10:00pm

SDS Summertime Swing runs every week through the Summer break we are running a social dance practice session. The aim is just to turn up, bring a water bottle, listen to some great tunes and get together with friends to dance for a few hours. That way you, have a chance to keep everything you learned in the classes fresh in your mind, and can practice it all in an informal atmosphere. It is being run throughout the Summer instead of our more formal teaching classes which are due to start again on 14th September 2022.

What is SDS Summertime Swing

We have kept these sessions as cheap as we possibly can whilst also providing a dedicated venue for dancers. There is free car parking at the venue so please feel free to come along. The venue has a nice wooden dance floor and music supplied by the Swing Dance Summertown team. These sessions are for you and there will be experienced dancers around to ask if there is a particular move you want some help with, bit the general idea is just to turn up and have fun for a few hours.

Finding us

Risinghurst is just outside of the Ring Road A40 at what is locally known as Hamburger Roundabout. If you are approaching the A40 from the direction of Wheatley there is a left turn onto Collinwood Road which takes you up into Risinghurst. If you are approaching from Oxford or along the Ring Road the turning you want is The Eastern Bypass Road junction which then leads you onto Kiln Lane. See you on the dance floor!
