Tickets are £24.50 includes BBQ supper (discount to Season Ticket holders) or £15 for a ticket to see the band and dance without the supper add-on.

It is going to be a Gala Evening when the Big R Big Band complete with ‘Captain’ Richie Paradise on the drums, visit Cogges Manor Farm in a couple of weeks time. The Big R Big Band are a favourite at the Oxford Swing Festival having headlined many times. The last time they visited was in February when they brought the party to the dance floor on Saturday night.
Big R are from Bristol and feature a 16 piece Big Band that are a match for anyone. They thrive on the big occasions and are a favourite with dancers throughout the UK.
A ticket to the event includes a BBQ supper in the price. There is a choice of Sausage bap, local Bakers Butcher Oxford Sausage and Onion on Natural Bread Company white roll or a Vegan Spicy Broad Bean, Pea & Spinach Burger. There is also a Licensed bar
The venue features plenty of room to sit down between dances.
Jive Taster Class
IN addition to the live band playing, there will also be a Jive taster class before the gig featuring Rob & Anna from Flight Club. Regulars at The Big Band Double Header will recognise them from the dance floor where Anna regularly proves that she can fly with her various aerial moves. They will be teaching a Basic level Jive class aimed at Beginner and new dancers. It’s perfect for Lindy Hoppers to try out Jive and will also be aimed at completely novice dancers. If you have any curious friends and family members who would like to experience Jive dancing then bring them along with you to enjoy the evening with you.
About the venue
Cogges Farm is run by the Cogges Heritage Trust, a registered charity. Cogges is a 13th century Manor House and and Grade II listed 18th century farm buildings set within stunning grounds that still provide a glimpse into how a working farm would have been, providing Meet The Animals Experiences. The Manor House and historic farm buildings are generally open to visitors including, for the first time in many years, the first floor of the Manor House. Explore each room as you listen to stories of the past or step into Yew Tree Farm of Downton Abbey. Please note, while we do allow dogs on a lead in other areas of the farm, only Assistance Dogs are allowed in the Manor House.
The venue provides the perfect back-drop for parties and special event. With stunning 18th century barns, that have been converted for events the beautiful Manor House and the old milking parlour all add to the rustic charm to provide a fully featured venue. it is conveniently located close to Oxford, at the heart of Witney on the edge of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, and is also less than a two hour drive from London.
